An auto repair shop management app for independent service desks. Create vehicle work orders, assign a technician, and track repair progress, estimates, and promised times.

Pitlane opens with a workshop board that groups vehicles into checked-in, diagnosis, repair and ready stages, followed by a focused pickup panel. Staff can create a service order for an existing vehicle and update the technician, repair status, manual USD estimate, promised-time label and notes. The app uses ToolJet Database with fictional records.
Built for Independent garages, service advisors, and workshop managers coordinating a small vehicle repair queue.
Give the service desk a shared view of the job and the person responsible for its next step.
Check work across the current vehicles and repair states. Use the overview to identify which orders need the next service-desk update.
Create an order linked to an existing vehicle and capture the requested service, technician, estimate, promised-time label, and opening notes.
Search the queue and update technician, status, estimate, promised-time label, and notes as the repair moves toward collection.
A workshop-focused dashboard brings the current vehicle work together in a cobalt-blue identity with a compact navigation rail.
Create an order against an existing vehicle, with the required service and working details. The vehicle reference keeps each repair attached to the right record.
Keep a named technician and a status of Booked, Diagnosing, Repairing, Ready, or Collected on each work order. Status changes are recorded manually by staff.
Save a manual USD estimate, a promised-time label, and the latest note. These fields support handovers; they do not create an invoice or a calendar appointment.
The pilot uses 2 tables with fictional records. No external database is needed to explore the source app.
| Table | Sample data | What it stores |
|---|---|---|
| Vehicles | 6 sample vehicles | Vehicle reference, display name, and service context. |
| Work orders | 9 sample work orders | Vehicle, required service, technician, repair status, estimated USD amount, promised-time label, and notes. |
The overview shows the first two orders in Booked, Diagnosing, and Repairing, plus the first Ready vehicle; use Work orders for the full bounded list. Vehicle intake, parts inventory, invoices, payments, diagnostic integrations, and customer notifications are not included. Estimates are manually entered USD amounts, not approved quotes. Promised times are labels rather than a live calendar. The English desktop pilot reads up to 1,000 rows per table and blocks writes above that limit. Export, clean installation, and access policies remain unverified.
This design is a starting point. Describe the look you want, add your logo and brand colors, or ask for new features in a prompt. Use the starter prompt to build your own version in the ToolJet AI builder, or use a suggested prompt to modify an app you already have. Review and test the result.
Suggested prompts describe changes you can request. Additional features and translations still need to be built and tested.
Choose ToolJet Cloud, or download the application package to import into your self-hosted instance once the template is released.
Explore the sample records in ToolJet Database, then add your records and configure the workflow for your team.
Describe your preferred design, branding, and new features in the AI builder. Test your workflow, then share your app with the people who need it.
